Snir River (Hasbani)

Snir River (Hasbani)

We are in the heart of the spring months, after the winter and before the hot Israeli summer – so the perfect time to hike is right now. If you have a day off and you are looking for attractions in the north, we highly recommend enjoying a selection of water attractions in the north and visiting one of the great variety of streams in the north. One of the well-known and most suitable streams for a walking route for the whole family is Snir River, also known as Nahal Hasbani.

A river crosses borders

Snir River is the longest stream among the sources of the Jordan. The length of the stream is 65 km, and most of it is located in the territory of Lebanon and its lower part, from the flow in the area of the village of Ajar to the connection with the Dan River and the Hermon River (also known as Banias River) is within the State of Israel. And its Hebrew name is, as mentioned, Snir River.

variable length routes to choose from

In Snir River you can choose three routes:
• A short and circular route accessible to people with disabilities and baby strollers.
